The triple spiral can be interpreted as a water symbol, which references the source of life. The water of the womb naturally represents the source of life with in the Goddess. The trinity of the triple spiral or triple goddess can be associated with the three phases of womanhood: Maiden, Mother, and Wise Women or Crone.
